Kristen Huff
Director of Music |
Born in North Carolina and raised in Virginia, Kristen moved to Papillion with her parents and nine siblings in the summer of 2005. Since then, she has been involved in many different ministry venues in the Omaha Metro, and is now happily settled here at Overland Hills Church. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior when she was five years old, and committed her life to His service when she was thirteen. She was a home schooled - high-school graduate in 2003; the year she also received a calling from the Lord to lead worship. In response to John 4:23, Kristen strives to lead God’s people to worship in spirit and in truth. She believes that as we worship, we are exposed more and more to the heart of the Father. When we know His heart, we desire more of His presence. As a result, by the leading of the Holy Spirit, we learn how to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. In addition to her pursuit of piano, violin and viola, Kristen also writes music and has performed a number of concerts featuring her own original works. Her other interests include: Camping, cooking/baking, teaching, reading, history, and Christian concerts. She also loves to watch football with her dad and brothers, and chick flicks with her mom and sisters. Her heart’s desire is to see God’s people humble themselves in complete, passionate surrender, through praise and worship, to the glory of Jesus Christ our Lord. |
