Senior Pastor

Jon is married to Cathy who together have three children, Adam, Hailey and Jacob.  He came to Overland Hills Church in April of 2004 from Ontario, Canada where he was born and raised.  Jon enjoys music, hockey and cycling with his family.

A passion for the local church is at the heart of Jon's ministry calling. He is excited about the potential that Overland Hills Church has to positively impact Papillion and the surrounding communities.  His desire is to see the church become a visible, strong, unified and effective force for good in this region through the disciple-making mission that Jesus Christ gave his followers nearly two thousand years ago.

Prior to entering vocational ministry in 1995, Jon worked in the computing and information technology field.  Jon has a Master of Divinity Degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada.

Jon serves to provide leadership and oversignt to all OHC staff and ministries and is the primary teaching pastor at our worship events.  As an Elder, Jon serves with the Elder Team guiding the mission, values and mission strategy of OHC.

Youth & Families

Josh has been the Youth and Family Pastor at Overland Hills Church since 2003.  He has a bachelor’s degree from Grace University and is currently working on his Masters degree in Ministry Counseling.  He is has been married to Jolene since 2001 and has three children; Jeremiah, Judah, and Jubilee.  Josh loves working with the youth and families at Overland Hills Church and the Papillion community.  His goal is to see every family reached with the good news of Jesus Christ and for every family to be radically transformed by that same good news. 

Josh enjoys movies, games with his family, camping, and Husker football!  He also loves just hanging out with students and seeing God work in their lives, changing them and everyone they interact with forever. 

Josh is responsible for overseeing the ministries and teams serving students and children.

Administrative Assistant

Renee Black has been serving in the church office off and on since 1986. She is married to David and together they have two children, Kevin (who is married to Katie Grapes), and Mary. Renee graduated from Grace University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Christian Education and from the University of Nebraska Medical Center with an Associate Degree in Nursing.

Along with her work in the church office Renee is also part of the Worship Team and the Coordinator of Women’s Ministry at Overland Hills Church. She is passionate about music and helping women grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

When Renee is not in the office she is teaching private piano lessons in her home or relaxing with a good book and a cat in her lap.
